Donna Beth (Henneke) Breen, 93, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, December 25, 2021 in the presence of her sons, Scott and Terry.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Pastor Sandy Smith, officiating. Burial will follow at West Serena Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
Donna was born on September 1, 1928 in Ottawa to Charles and Mamie (Durkee) Henneke. She was a graduate of Serena High School, class of 1946 and graduated from the Ryburn Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1949. Donna received post-graduate training at the Chicago Lying-In Hospital and Dispensary in Chicago, in 1953. She married William Breen on September 5, 1953 at the Harding United Methodist Church, in Harding, IL. Donna was a member of the Harding United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Breen of Harding and Terry Breen of St. Charles, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William on January 29, 2018; a son, Quint Breen, a sister Lorna Nelson; and two brothers Frederick and Delmar Henneke.
