An Ottawa attorney will begin a three-year term on the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission Saturday. Michael T. Reagan will be one of nine unpaid members and is replacing a member whose term is ending. The ARDC investigates complaints against lawyers accused of wrongdoing. The ARDC Review Board is a sort of appeals court for lawyers that the ARDC Hearing Board has found at fault for bad behavior.
Reagan’s time on the Illinois Supreme Court Judicial Performance Evaluation Committee is ending. Taking his place on it is attorney James T. Reilly of Ottawa. He and other judges from throughout Illinois will look into ways of assessing and improving the way judges work. Reilly’s law office is in Streator.
