After the Christmas Holiday, starting on Monday both Marquette and Ottawa High School boys basketball teams will begin their Holiday Tournament journeys.
The Ottawa Pirates will take on Hinckley Big Rock in round one at the 58th Annual Plano Christmas Classic hosted by Plano High School. Game time is at 10:30 in the morning. Streator, Sandwich, Mendota and Newark will also be competing in the tournament on Monday.
Marquette looks to win the last championship title at The Marseilles Holiday Tournament hosted by Marseilles Grade School. Starting next season it will be known as The Marquette Christmas Tournament and will be held at Bader Gym. The Crusaders begin the path to the title by taking on Gardner South-Wilmington also known as GSW. Game time is scheduled at 6:30pm. Seneca, St Bede, Serena and Earlville will also be competing in this Holiday Tournament.

Last night on Thursday Night Football, Randy Bullock booted a go-ahead 44-yard field goal with just nine-seconds remaining as the Titans topped the 49ers 20-17. Ryan Tannehill threw for 209 yards and a touchdown for Tennessee, which rallied from a 10-0 halftime deficit.

In the afternoon, The Browns are fighting to keep their season alive as they visit the Packers in Green Bay. Cleveland suffered a last-second loss at the hands of the Raiders last week, dropping the team to 7-and-7. The Packers have won three straight to enter at 11-and-3.
And then Christmas night, The Cardinals and the Indianapolis Colts clash in Arizona. The Colts are 8-and-6 on the season as they battle for a playoff spot in the AFC. The Cardinals meanwhile are looking to snap a two-game skid. Arizona is 10-and-4 and tied with the Los Angeles Rams on top of the NFC West.
The Chicago Bears will be heading to Seattle on Sunday to visit the Seahawks. The Bears dropped three in-a-row to fall to 4-and-10 on the season. The Seahawks are 5-and-9.

At The Frisco Football Classic at Frisco Texas, Miami Ohio defeated North Texas 27-14
At The Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa Florida, UCF beat Florida 29-17
The Hawaii Bowl was cancelled yesterday after Hawaii was forced to pull out of the game due to COVID-19 issues. Around 20 Rainbow Warriors reportedly tested positive for the virus. They were supposed to play Memphis today, but instead finished the season at six-and-seven. The Memphis Tigers had been in Honolulu since Sunday.
The Chicago Bulls are back on the hardwood Sunday hosting the Indiana Pacers. The Bulls have won their last two games but had its most recent game against Toronto postponed due to COVID-19. The Bulls sit at 19-and-10 on the season.
The Blackhawks are off until Tuesday. The Hawks will welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets to the United Center. The Blackhawks currently sit second-to-last in the Central Division with just 26 points.
