The Ottawa Elementary School Board was presented options about bringing geothermal energy to Lincoln Elementary School last Tuesday. The board voted to look for proposals for geothermal energy back in September.
Supt. Cleve Threadgill presented two different options about how to pay for it. He says there are two different scenarios.
Threadgill says $3.2 million dollars the district has could cover part of the project. But the district would have to borrow $2.8 million out of working cash bonds.
The project would cost around $6 million.
