Last night Marquette took the game to overtime to defeat Putnam County 39-31 in girls high school basketball. Lilly Craig led the Lady Crusaders with 14 points and Josie Eager finished with 11 points,
The JV team also won 24-13. Chloe Larson and Makayla Backos each scored eight points for Marquette.
Also in basketball last night, Serena lost at Sandwich 71-67. For the Huskers, Camden Figgins scored 21 points with Hunter Muffler adding 13 more in the loss.
The Ottawa freshman boys basketball team lost to Sycamore 35-46. Leading scorers for the Pirates were Evan Snook with 8 and Jackson Cooper finishing with 7.
The Ottawa girls bowling team lost to Sycamore. McKenzie Lewis led the Lady Pirates with a 463 series score and high game of 182. Jazzmyn DeFord contributed a high game of 151.
The Ottawa boys bowling team also fell to Sycamore. The Pirates Nelson Brandt led all players with a 616 series score and a 225 high game. Landon Mcalpine added a 559 series score and a high game of 218.
The JV squad were winners. Nolan Alexander finished with a 480 series score and a high score of 177 for Ottawa.
