High School Girls Basketball
Marquette lost on the road at Roanoke-Benson 44-40. Josie Eager scored 13 points with five rebounds, four steals and three assists, while Lilly Craig added 12 points and four steals for the Lady Crusaders.
Seneca won big at home over Morris 46-16. For the Lady Irish, Kennedy Hartwig scored 17 points, and Emma Smith added nine more in the victory.
Serena also won at home over Hinckley-Big Rock 38-25. Katie Baker led the Lady Huskers with 19 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists.
Somonauk defeated Hiawatha 48-25.
Games scheduled tonight in girls basketball: Ottawa is at Rochelle, LP travels to face Sandwich and Morris is at Sycamore.
It was announced yesterday, both the JV and varsity Marquette boys basketball games at Dwight on Friday have been postponed. A make-up date will be determined at a later date.

The Ottawa Dolphins finished in 3rd place out of 10 teams at the Barb Wire Classic Invitational at the Kishwaukee YMCA. First place finishes for the Dolphins:
Ethan Farabaugh in the 8 and under age group for the 25 freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and 50 freestyle.
Breckyn Jobst in the 8 and under girls for the 25 backstroke and butterfly.
Adam Swanson in the 14 and under age group for Boys in the 200 Individual Medley
