The LaSalle County Board voted to table a resolution that would have rescinded and rejected the first district map they approved in November. Pro Temp Chairman Curt Faber of Mendota says from his understanding, a majority of board members didn’t agree with one aspect of the map.
He says from what he understands, the majority party thought that kicking out four seats was unnecessary.
Audio PlayerBut Ottawa Rep. Brian Dose says areas that have lost population are still keeping the same amount of representatives. He says that he discussed the maps afterward with Chairman Don Jensen, saying that the map looked good.
Dose says that Jensen did a good job.
