Congressional candidate Jim Marter says he’ll support a “parental bill of rights”. He says as a father and grandfather, he strongly believes parents should have a say in their children’s education. So, he’ll support a bill introduced by Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley aimed at guaranteeing parents can find out what their tax dollars pay for in schools and how information about their children is used. Marter’s asking for the Republican nomination in the new Illinois 14th district, which will cover northern LaSalle County and eastern Bureau County.
