The city of Marseilles has placed their tax levy on file. The city is asking for about $1.6 million for next year.

That’s about $69,000 more than this year. Finance Commissioner Bobby Kaminski explained more at the city council meeting Wednesday.

The two areas that are going up are the Municipal retirement, which is about $10,000 more and liability insurance, which is up by about $45,000. The city is asking for about the same amount for other funds in the tax levy.
