The Festival of Lights in Ottawa was different compared to past years. This year the parade started at Washington Park and went to the Jordan Block, and there were some new displays, including a fireworks show and a lighting of the Jordan Block.
But this time, there was no countdown. There was a positive reaction when the lights came on in the Jordan block.
Members from Friendly City Sound’s choir sang some Christmas carols in front of the Christmas tree. Plus Shepherd Middle School Choir Director Erica Heth brought their schools choir to sing with them.
Songs included Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
