 The Ottawa Pirates will take on Illinois Valley Central at Kingman Gym in the Dean Riley Shootin’ the Rock” tournament. Game time is at 6:30 with Sean Frey and Bryer Lehr with the call of the game on 93.5 1430 WCMY and online at 1430 WCMY DOT COM.

Also tonight at the Dean Riley tournament, Dixon will take on Oak Forest and Pontiac faces Streator.

Other games scheduled tonight in holiday tournaments.

The Coal City/Manteno Turkey Tourney at Coal City

Morris versus Gardner and Coal City takes on Serena.

At the Seneca Turkey Tournament 

Hall faces Herscher, Somonauk versus St. Anne and Mendota takes on Seneca.

The Route 17 Classic at Woodland high school

St Bede will face Woodland and Ridgeview versus Flanagan-Cornell.

At the Dwight Holiday Tournament 

Grant Park versus Momence and Earlville will face Dwight.

 

Over the weekend the girls wrapped up their holiday tournaments.

At the Keith McIntosh Classic hosted by Illinois Math and Science Academy, the Lady Pirates placed 1st after finishing with a perfect record after beating West Chicago 45-26. The Ottawa girls next game will be Monday, November 29 at Serena.

 

The Marquette Lady Crusaders fell short to Herscher 58-46 in the 3rd place contest. Marquette is scheduled to return to action on Tuesday at Mendota.

 

At the Princeton Holiday Tournament, The Streator Lady Bulldogs lost to Stark County, 45-26.

 

In the Burlington Central’s Thanksgiving Tournament, Kaneland defeated Earlville 53-27  in the Championship game.

 

Fieldcrest won the championship game over Serena 60-50 in the Falcon-Irish Girls Basketball Thanksgiving Tournament at Seneca High School.

 

Junior high sports

Both Shepherd teams competed against Wallace in boys basketball.

The 8th grade team lost 21 to 19. Leading the way for the Rams: Lucas Farabaugh with 8 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.

The 7th graders won 28 to 14. Griffin Dobberstein scored 15 points for the Rams.
