Jane Goetz of Ottawa got an Illinois Valley Community College Spirit Award. She’s been on the IVCC Board of Trustees since 2013 and served as its chair for four years. Before her time on the board, she was with the IVCC Foundation for nine years.
An IVCC announcement says Goetz takes care of the college’s flower beds and bushes, welcomes students and staff on the first day of each semester, and volunteers in the literacy program at the Ottawa Center. The Spirit Award is for “extraordinary service to students, the college, and the foundation”.
