A woman in her 40’s, a man in his 60’s, and a woman in her 70’s are the latest LaSalle County residents who’ve lost their lives because of COVID-19. The LaSalle County Health Department says those deaths during the last week bring the fatal case count to 354.
There are 898 current coronavirus cases, up from 808 last Friday. This week was the first week the current case count went up since September 24th.
And the county is back in the CDC’s orange warning status, after just one week in blue. That’s because of only 18.6% of intensive care unit beds being available in the region, compared to the desired 20%. And the new infection rate for a seven-day average is almost 110 per 100,000 people.
