Claudia A. Tauke, 86, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 am, Thursday, November 11 at St. Columba Church, with Rev. Gary Caster officiating. She will be buried at Oakwood Memorial Park. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
Claudia was born August 6, 1935 in Ottawa, the only child of Alfred and Opal (McMonigal) Tauke. She retired from DCFS, and also worked as a secretary for several law offices as well as Com Ed and Wedron Silica. Claudia was a lover of all animals, particularly cats. She was a devoted Catholic and a lifelong member of St. Columba Church. She enjoyed keeping up on current events and reading the newspaper. Claudia was known as a very determined woman who was “unapologetically Republican”.
She is survived by several close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
