St. Sen Brian Stewart of Freeport and Sen. Sue Rezin of Morris are encouraging constituents to submit a photo and written story to loved ones who served for the Veteran’s Day “Wall of Honor”. Illinois Senate Republicans have been hosting the annual Veteran’s Day tribute in the Illinois State Capitol Rotunda since 2017 and this year’s wall will be on display from November 11th to the 20th.
Stewart says the wall of honor is a great way to remember our veterans, share their stories, and honor their service.
Submissions should be sent to veteransdsay@sgop.ilga.gov by this Thursday. Stewart says the written story should be 250 words maximum and have the person’s name, military branch, conflicts served, and a photo of the person if you want.
