Marseilles has annexed some more land to the north.Mayor Jim Hollenbeck says the land is located in the southwest corner of the Morris Blacktop and N. 24th Rd just south of Interstate 80.
Hollenbeck says for now some of the land will still be for agriculture but two acres will be dedicated for residential.
The city council also approved updating the zoning map for the annexation of the land.
