Many Peru police officers will have an unusual appearance this month. The city’s rules require them to be clean shaven. But for No Shave November, each one who raises at least $100 for Cops 4 Cancer is allowed to grow a beard. Police Chief Robert Pyszka says the officers raised almost $20,000 for the fundraiser last year.
The women on the force can raise money too, although they’re not expected to grow beards.
