St. Sen. Sue Rezin says the second week of the Illinois legislature’s veto session feels like a lame duck session. The Morris Republican says Democrats like to bring up major legislation in the middle of the night and rush it to a vote.
Before the Illinois Senate voted 32 to 22 on the repeal last night, Rezin talked about sex trafficking survivor Brook Bello who writes and talks about her experiences as a teenager.
Bello started an organization that helps sex trafficking survivors. Rezin says not notifying parents removes them from their daughters’ lives when they need help.
