One person’s charged with the unlawful use of a weapon and two others are charged with an attack at the Illinois Valley YMCA. Peru Police Chief Robert Pyszka says several people, including the man with the gun, called 911 Saturday. Some of the callers claimed he was trying to take away a child who’s not his. The man with the gun says he had to pull it out in self defense. Pyszka says the girl in the man’s car was not in danger and was with him voluntarily.

Thirty-nine year old Mark J. Judd of Hennepin is accused of unlawfully having the weapon. Thirty-five year old Andrew Martinez of Utica is charged with battery and 37-year old Joshua Martinez of Depue is charged with assault.
