There’s a new scholarship at Illinois Valley Community College for single parents. Preference will be for those who are domestic violence survivors. Kathy Notbohm of Tonica gave money for an endowment to fund the $5,000 scholarship. She was a board member and volunteer for ADV-SAS, now known as Safe Journeys, which helps women get out of domestic violence situations. She worked as a counselor at IVCC for 28 years.
