The Ottawa Salvation Army chapter is taking applications until next Friday for the annual Angel Tree program. Captain Megan Lewis says the signups can be done in person at the office on W. Madison St. Times are 9am to 3pm on weekdays, Saturday from 9am to 1pm, and next Thursday from 4pm to 6pm.
Lewis says the Salvation Army tries to provide three, four, or five gifts per child. They may include things a child needs, such as clothes. The families who apply must have picture ID’s for adults and birth certificates or medical cards for kids up to age 12.
