After two presentations from two organizations the Ottawa Elementary School Board picked the Illinois Association of School Boards to help them find a new superintendent.
Current Supt. Cleve Threadgill announced he is retiring at the end of this school year.
Spokesperson for the IASB Patricia Sullivan-Viniard says the board will have to pay $7,900 so they can look for candidates.
She says if the board doesn’t add anything else that will be how much it would cost to find candidates.
Sullivan-Viniard says the process is like a menu in which it can cost the board more to add more options for them to find candidates.
School Exec Connect out of Oak Lawn also presented to the school board at Tuesday’s meeting.
