Found fit for trial, 30-year old Michael Swift of Mokena has one scheduled for February 14th. He’s accused of stabbing a woman he had dated, 21-year old Grace Taylor, to death at her south side Ottawa apartment in April. LaSalle County Judge Cynthia Raccuglia held a hearing for Swift this morning. For two hearings in August, Swift refused to leave his cell at the Kendall County jail to go to LaSalle County. He’s being kept in another county’s jail because Taylor was related to a LaSalle County jail employee.
