LaSalle County Historical Society President Mary Holland says about 150 volunteers will make the Burgoo Festival’s return this weekend happen. Thousands of people will visit Utica from 11am to 6pm Saturday and 9am to 5pm Sunday.
She explained Tuesday on WCMY’s Morning Meeting, there will be several entertainment acts including the LaSalle-High School band, some Norwegian dancers, and local bands. Of course, there’ll be burgoo stew, but there’ll also be other food from various vendors.
The festival had last year off because of the pandemic.
