While some schools in LaSalle County have seen a trend in parents yelling at coaches and referees at sporting events, some haven’t seen anything.

Last week LaSalle-Peru High School Supt. Steve Wrobleski released a statement saying that parents’ behavior needs to change at different sporting events after berating coaches and referees at a football game.

But Serena Unit School Supt. Lisa Gifford says that parents have been well behaved at their sporting events.

But Gifford says that doesn’t mean they don’t have a policy for poor behavior.

Marseilles Elementary School Supt. Brenda Donahue says a parent approached a coach in a belligerent manner in game that the team won.
