Online voting has begun in a contest to find out which high school sports concession stands sell the best pork chop sandwiches. The Illinois High School Association and the Illinois Pork Producers Association will take votes until Friday morning. Then there’ll be two weeks of juding.
The regional winners will be announced the night of Saturday, October 23rd. There’ll be more voting to determine the statewide winner in November.
Local schools in the contest are St. Bede and Spring Valley Hall in the Berkshire Region and Seneca High School in the Duroc Region. The event is called the Pork and Pigskins Championship.
