An Ottawa woman who attacked a man twice earlier this year gets to start her probation sentence over. Thirty-seven year old Latrice Wright must also get addiction counseling and pay fines.
Police arrested Wright in late February for stabbing a man in January and cutting him a few weeks later. She had no prior criminal record and got a two-and-a-half year probation sentence. But Wright was accused of violating the probation terms just a few weeks after she pleaded guilty to battery and domestic battery.
She also got a jail sentence from Judge H. Chris Ryan Friday, but can be let out because she’s been in jail longer than the sentence while the case was pending.
