The LaSalle County Health Department reports the number of new coronavirus cases continues to drop while recoveries increase. The department logged 149 new cases during the past week, compared to 197 the week before.
There were 241 recoveries this week, up from 194 last week.
The figures show 1,172 current cases, down from 1,264 on Friday last week.
A woman in her 60’s died during the past week. That brings the county to 341 fatal cases in all.
Because of a high transmission rate, the county is still in orange warning status.
