The Ottawa Girls varsity golf team competed at the Joliet Central Class 2A golf regional at the Inwood Golf Course. The Pirates Zoe Harris finished 7th with a score of 82 to advance to the Washington 2A Sectional on Monday.
Streator Varsity lost to Peotone in volleyball. Hannah Rambo had 5 kills, 1 block and 1 ace and Ellie Isermann finished with 3 kills, 6 assists in the Bulldogs loss.
The JV squad beat Peotone, Emma Rambo led Streator with 5 kills, 9 assists and 3 digs.
Streator won at home over Pontiac 3-2 in tennis.: Claire Vogel and Lucy Zavada were winners in singles. The team of Angelina Delinger and Mina James won in doubles for the Lady Bulldogs.
Results in soccer: Ottawa defeated Serena 5-3, Streator outscored Wilmington 11-3 and Newark-Seneca shutout Indian Creek 5-0.
In junior High Sports
Marquette Academy 8th grade girls defeated Tonica 60-2. Morgan Collins, Hunter Hopkins and Anna Hjerpe each scored 16 points in the victory.
