Someone police were interested in is no longer a person of interest in the Jelani Day case. LaSalle County Sheriff Adam Diss says the person was in a video that Peru’s police department posted on Facebook last Thursday. Diss says the person was identified and interviewed. He was in the area for his job.
Day was a 25-year old Illinois State University student whose body was found in LaSalle County earlier this month. Police from LaSalle County and Bloomington are investigating what happened to him.
