The Starved Rock Country Festival of the Arts is starting this weekend.
Local and visiting artists will present their art, music, and film to people in and around Ottawa.
Pamela Beckett with the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation says artists are coming from all over the United States.
Beckett specifically mentioned a band from Los Angles.
She says the band is a group of film makers but they also play music.
Beckett says over the next few years this could be become a premiere art festival that continues to bring people outside of Ottawa.
Amanda Weygand with the Open Space Art Studio says that some of the pieces will be judged for prizes.
She knows because she says she was in charge of finding the judges.
She says the judges are Jenna Hunt, Melissa Oresky and Jason Judd.
Beckett also says the event still needs some volunteers.
