Students at Streator High School have the rest of this week for their parents to opt them out of Shield testing.
The school district announced on Twitter Monday that students have until Friday.
Interim Supt. Bill Mattingly says the district has been allowing students to opt out since the first day the shield tests were announced. *
Shield testing was created by the University of Illinois and uses a saliva sample to test for the virus instead of using a cotton swab that goes in a person’s nose.
