The Ottawa golf team earned a conference win against LP at Oak Ridge Golf Course. The Pirates Drake Stoudt led all golfers with a score of 36. Carter Fenza led the Cavaliers with a final score of 38.
The JV boys also were winners over LP. Ottawa’s Dan Bruner led all golfers with a score of 40.
The Seneca girls golf team defeated Plano and Coal City at The Creek Golf Course in Morris. Laura Yegge led the Lady Irish with a score of 48.
Ottawa girls varsity team got a conference win over Rochelle in tennis. Winners for the Pirates were Sara Meyer and Ella Marvel in singles. The team of Kyleigh Olszewski and Jenna Smithmeyer, partners Rylee OFallon and Emma Cushing and the duo of Madison Lineback and Emma Stumpf were all winners in doubles.
The JV girls were also winners over the Lady Hubs. Winners for Ottawa were McKenzie Eichelkraut and Layne Krug in singles. In doubles: Mika Moreland and Aubrey Sanders, partners Peyton Bryson and Lexi Innis and the team of Adalyn Borkowski and Bianca Sipula were all match winners.
In volleyball
Seneca won over Dwight in 2 sets. . Emma Smith had 12 kills and Sophie Cato added 7 more for the Lady Irish.
Streator lost to Coal City. Mallory Goerne finished with 5 kills and 3 digs for the Lady Bulldogs.

The White Sox lost to the A’s in Oakland. José Abreu drove in the lone run for the South-Siders. The Sox host the Red Sox tonight.
The Cubs host the Giants today. Kyle Hendricks is scheduled to be on the mound for the North-Siders.
Tyler O’Neill smacked the go-ahead home run in the fifth as the Cardinals held on to beat the Dodgers 2-1 at Busch Stadium. The Cards host the Reds tonight.
Last night in the NFL season opener, the Buccaneers defeated the Cowboys in the final seconds 31-29 in Tampa.
The Bears open the NFL 2021 season in Los Angeles Sunday night against the Rams.
