1963 – 2021
Michael “Opa” Neumann, 58, of Ottawa was reunited with the spirit in the sky August 30, 2021.
Michael was born August 20, 1963 in Geneva to Hans and Frieda (Marcheschi) Neumann. He was the owner operator of Neumann Decorating in Sycamore, IL for over 20 years, where he proudly raised his family. Mike always reminded friends and family of the motto, “Here today, gone tomorrow.” He truly lived each of his days to the fullest. He loved nature and enjoyed cigars. Mike was a joker, smoker, and a midnight toker… we found your stash, Dad.
He is survived by his three children, Tyler (Carley) Neumann, of San Diego, CA, Ashley Neumann, of League City, TX, Peter Hans Neumann, of Colorado; two grandchildren, Eliza Harper Neumann, Zoey Claire Neumann; a granddog, Dallas; a sister Barbara Ketchum and niece Crystal Rodriguez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Manfred and Hans Neumann; a sister Judy Neumann; and his beloved dog Bosco.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to PADS of Ottawa, IL.
