2,700 students at Illinois Valley Community College will be receiving some federal funding.

Some students will be getting a share of $1.7 million dollars in Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds or HEERF.

Those funds are sent directly to students who were enrolled at a college during the spring 2021 semester.

Vice President for Student Services Mark Grzybowski says he’s proud of the work being done by staff to make a high-quality education affordable to everyone in IVCC’s district.

The HEERF funds were authorized in late 2020.
