Ottawa River Rescue recently bought four defibrillators and it’s waiting for a sonar device to arrive from backorder. The service says it’s paying for the equipment with a $10,000 grant that came from the ADM Cares Foundation. Defibrillators restart people’s hearts with carefully delivered electrical jolts. Sonar can peer through murky water to find objects and bodies. The Ottawa River Rescue Facebook post about the donation says Christmas came early.
