A 35-year old Streator woman faces a disorderly conduct charge, accused of making up a story about being kidnapped. Sarah M. Chandler reported the purported incident last Thursday night. Ottawa Detective Sergeant Kyle Booras says she claimed to have been kidnapped from a place on Ottawa’s north side and taken to a place west of the city. Booras says she claimed the abductors held her for ransom for more than a day. But after getting surveillance video, police determined that no kidnapping happened.
