St. Rep. David Welter doesn’t think Democrats will have fairness in mind when the General Assembly meets for a redistricting redo next week. The Morris Republican says they knew they were defeated though when full Census Bureau 2020 count information came out.
Welter says he expects another gerrymandered map passed without Republican support. Democrats said Republicans were allowed input when they passed a map earlier this year. There is a pending court case that Welter believes could force the state to use a bipartisan redistricting commission.
