Wesley “Mike” Pender, 69, of Sheridan, passed away at his son’s home, in Peru.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at the Praise Center Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Raymond Mitchell, officiating. Burial will follow at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are made through Muller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Wesley was born on May 20, 1952, in Moline, IL to Gordon and LaVeta (Letterman) Pender. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving six years from 1973 to 1979.
He is survived by three sons, Wesley (Jillian) Pender of Ottawa, Daniel (Amber) Pender of Ottawa, and David (Emily) Pender of Peru; four grandchildren, Abram, Lena, Greycin, and Jesse; and three brothers, Steve (Leanne) Pender of Sheridan, Butch (Amparo) Pender of Lake Holliday, and John Pender, of Sheridan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jessica Pender; and a sister, Desi Casterjon.
