Carelessly throwing away burning cigarettes or matches caused a fire in Streator Sunday afternoon. The Streator Fire Department says neighbors noticed thick black smoke coming from the back of the house in the 1300 block of N. Wasson St. They got the people who live in the house out. The fire trucks got there within two minutes. There’s severe damage to the back of the house.
