LaSalle County Sheriff Adam Diss says Jason Martin is his new Undersheriff and David Ortiz is his new Chief Deputy. Diss says the two have a combined 42 years of service as LaSalle County deputies.
Martin is 46 and has worked for the Sheriff’s Department since 1998. He’s State’s Attorney Todd Martin’s younger brother. Ortiz is 55 and has worked for the department since 2002.
Diss was an undersheriff himself and is finishing the term that Tom Templeton was elected to three years ago. Templeton retired this summer.
