Some fire departments in southern Lasalle County have the chance to earn up to $1,000 from Illinois American Water.
The water company is accepting applications for their 2021 Firefighter Grant Program.
Sr. Communications Manager Karen Cotton says applications for the grant are due by Tuesday, September 7th.
Cotton says that the applications should have a description of the organization, the overview, community problem, time frame, other sources, and the projects budget.
The grants can cover everything from communications equipment to training and related activities.
