The Lasalle County Property Committee voted for the county to do an air quality test on an air filtration system it owns.
The air filtration system is in question because the company that makes it, Global Plasma Solutions, is under a lawsuit because of claims of misleading information.
Board Chairman Don Jensen says some of the testing can be expensive.
He says the county can do a simple test for particles but they snowball from there.
County Property committee members like Somonauk Republican Allen Erbrederis and Sheridan Republican Charles Borchsenius say it should be installed because the county already paid for it through American Rescue Plan money.
The air filtration system could be used in different Lasalle County Buildings.
