Cong. Adam Kinzinger says what’s happening in Afghanistan is the result of a shortsighted, weak, and utter failure of two presidents. The Channahon Republican blames Presidents Trump and Biden for the Taliban takeover. He says Trump naively negotiated with terrorists and Biden aimed to fulfill a campaign promise to bring American troops home without a plan. Kinzinger says both presidents announced to America’s allies that the U.S. has given up. He says it’s now likely that Afghanistan will become a safe haven and recruiting ground for terrorists.
