From what the LaSalle County State’s Attorney says, a deadly shooting on Ottawa’s south side last month seems likely not to lead to charges. State’s Attorney Todd Martin says 33-year old Matthew Cavanagh got into a home. When the home owner tried to get Cavanagh out, Cavanagh pulled out a weapon and the home owner shot him. Martin says the case is still being investigated. That happened in the 800 block of Tomahawk Dr.
