LaSalle County is back to blue, but that doesn’t mean it’s clearing coronavirus cases very well. The Illinois Department of Public Health put the county in orange status last week and blue status again Friday, even though the number of current cases is climbing. The LaSalle County Health Department says there are 712 current cases, up from 586 last week.
The department also says the change back to blue is because of some stability in the rate at which the coronavirus numbers are changing, specifically in the number of emergency department visits. There were two more fatal coronavirus cases logged in the county during the last week for a total of 320.
