A judge set bond at $200,000 today for 18-year old Fernando Martinez of Ottawa in connection with an attack on two young people in May and his alleged attempt to get away from police Tuesday. Sheriff Adam Diss says Martinez caused one police officer on the team arresting Martinez to have a minor injury. That led to aggravated battery and resisting police charges on top of the mob action and aggravated battery charges he already faced.
Martinez and two others were charged with attacking a boy and girl in the area of Woodward Memorial Dr. and Albin Stevens Dr. on May 24th. The other two are 20-year old Kyle Prince and 19-year old Damien Kwit. All three have trials scheduled for August 30th.
