Regional Superintendent of Schools Christopher Dvorak is reminding drivers they must stop for a school bus when blinking red and yellow lights are on.

Dvorak says the flashing red lights means the bus is stopping and the extended red stop sign means the bus is loading or unloading children.

He says state law requires that drivers must obey the signals.

Drivers who fail to follow the signals could be fined and lose their license.

Some schools around Lasalle County are already back in class.
