Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange opened the week in higher trade supported by improving cash markets and sliding grain prices.
August Class III milk up seven cents at $16.08. September up nine cents at $16.58. October nine higher at $17.13. November up 13 cents at $17.75. December through February contracts two cents lower to 1 cents higher.
Dry whey unchanged at $0.54.
Blocks up $0.0250 at $1.66. One sale was made at that price.
Barrels up $0.05 at $1.36. Three trades were made at that price.
Butter up $0.0325 at $1.68. Eleven trades were made from $1.6575 to $1.68.
Nonfat dry milk up $0.0025 at $1.2575. One sale was made at that price.
