The body of a man found in Gary, Indiana in December has been identified. It’s that of 36-year old Garnie Rice of Somonauk who was reported missing almost a year ago. LaSalle County Sheriff Adam Diss says DNA was used to identify Rice’s body and the results only recently came back.
Rice was last known to be in Ottawa before leaving for work in Chicago Heights. His body was found in an abandoned home. The Lake County/Gary Metro Homicide Unit is investigating Rice’s death.
